Black Anchor

A popular tattoo symbol representing adventure and exploration, many young sailors got an anchor tattoo after their first crossing of the Atlantic. An anchor can be thought of as holding one steadfast, like an anchor holding a great sailing ship safe in harvbour, against winds and currents that might carry it astray.

A black anchor on a generous length of stainless steel ballchain. The pendant measures approximately 2.6cm (1") wide x 2.9cm (1 1/8") tall.

The ball chain part of this necklace is approx 45cm long (when not done up) and can easily be cut to a smaller size with household scissors if necessary.
